The screening of the movie “South of the Border”

The embassy of Venezuela organizes the screening of the movie South of the Border on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the First Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade, on Sunday, September 3, at 7.00 p.m. in the cinema hall of the Museum of Yugoslavia.

The documentary, South of the Border, directed by triple Academy Award winner Oliver Stone captures the journey of the director through five countries of Latin America and interviews with seven presidents. The film explores Hispanic-American social and political movements and points to the media misinterpretation of this part of the world.

Before the screening, Dr. Dia Nader de el Andari, the ambassador of Venezuela, the country that currently chairs the Non-Aligned Movement and Dr. Ana Sladojević, independent curator, will speak about solidarity, anti-colonialism and non-alignment in contemporary society.
